How to calculate your exact age?

Exact age is calculated by subtracting the birth date from the current date. For precise years, months and days, you must account for months of different lengths and leap years (every 4 years, except century years not divisible by 400).

Leap years

A year is a leap year if divisible by 4, except if divisible by 100, unless also divisible by 400. So 2000 and 2024 are leap years, but 1900 was not. People born on February 29 celebrate their birthday on February 28 in non-leap years.
