How to use a scientific calculator?

A scientific calculator is an essential tool for students, engineers and scientists. It goes far beyond basic arithmetic by integrating advanced mathematical functions like trigonometry, logarithms and powers.

Trigonometric functions

The sin, cos and tan functions calculate the ratios between sides of a right triangle. Sine is the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse. These functions are fundamental in physics, engineering and architecture.

Logarithms and DEG/RAD mode

The common logarithm (log₁₀) is the inverse of the power of 10. The natural logarithm (ln) is the inverse of e^x. Angles can be expressed in degrees (0° to 360°) or radians (0 to 2π): 180° = π radians.
